Asma Boulksibat
Asma Boulksibat is a fourth-year PhD student specializing in neurobiology at the Institut de Pharmacologie Moléculaire et Cellulaire (IPMC), in Valbonne, France. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biology and Chemistry and a Master’s degree in Neuroscience from Côte d’Azur University. Her doctoral research focuses on identifying new therapeutic targets for Fragile X syndrome (FXS) and contributes to advancing the understanding of the disorder’s pathophysiology. Currently, she is evaluating promising drug candidates using both Drosophila and mouse models of FXS, and employs techniques such as microscopy, proteomic analysis and behavioural assays. This work aims to clarify how these potential treatments function and to assess their therapeutic relevance. She is particularly interested in translational strategies for neurodevelopmental disorders and in bridging molecular research with therapeutic innovation.
